COACHES COMMENTS:
Matt is strong player that can almost play any position on the field. He is a strong outfielder that has good speed and arm strength. He takes good angles and has good range in the gaps. In the infield, Matt is comfortable and can play 2b and 3b. He is continuing to get better at all positions and has a strong work ethic with everything he does. At the plate, Matt is a switch hitter and is comfortable doing so from both sides. He has plus hands and competes every at bat. He has developed gap to gap power and continues to get stronger. On the mound, Shook fills the zone up and is confident throwing all three pitches in any count. Matt has good mound presence and likes to go right after hitters. As Matt continues to get stronger, he will have a chance to play this game at the next level.
