COACHES COMMENTS:

Griffin is a strong, physical player that primarily plays catcher.  He can also hold down the bag at 1B and even some corner OF at times.  Behind the dish, Griffin has excellent flexibility and strong hands that gives him the ability to keep strikes – strikes and present borderline pitches well to umpires to help his pitchers.  He continues to work on reading pitch angles and centering baseballs to control balls in the dirt.  At the plate, Griffin creates a lot of leverage.  He is strong with gap-to-gap power and will become a high-average hitting with plate discipline. He consistently makes loud contact at the plate.
