COACHES COMMENTS:
Sam is a submarine RHP. Sam just started throwing from this arm slot at the beginning of his senior year and it is already showing great success for him. He runs his fastball up to 84 from a very low arm slot. He has developed lots of natural arm side run on his fastball while commanding it very well. He throws a slider that he has developed a lot of confidence in. He can throw it for strikes consistently and it is also his pitch. Sam is developing a changeup from the new arm slot. As he gets more comfortable with the arm slot and gets stronger, Sam will be a great addition to the back end of any bullpen.
Sam has committed to play baseball at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
