COACHES COMMENTS:
Dawson is a 2023 LHP/1B. He is 6'8"/215 lb. player with a great work ethic. Dawson displays a great body type that all college and MLB scouts will be watching closely. On the mound, he does a great job trusting his stuff and letting his defense work behind him. He has a lot of confidence in his breaking ball that he spins extremely well. His changeup continues to improve with good downward movement and uses it well keeping hitters off balance. At the plate, Dawson does not get cheated and takes aggressive swings early in the count. Dawson has a very advanced 2-strike approach. At 1B, he continues to work on playing low and quick. We are excited about his future and strong schools will be excited to get to know him.
