COACHES COMMENTS:

Bill is a balanced athlete with a ton of baseball tools and knowledge for the game that tie in well with his natural instincts and the ability to play all over the diamond.  In the outfield, Bill plays very aggressive and rarely lets any baseballs see the grass in front of him. Bill attacks baseballs on the ground and does a fantastic job making low, hard throws and keeping them on line. As a catcher, Bill sets up in a flexible base and is extremely quick to block and recover. His quick feet, plus arm and clean transfers  make it very challenging for opposing baserunners to steal bags against him. Bill also gives coaches options in the middle infield. His instincts and footwork put him in good positions to make routine plays, and his athleticism allows him to make the highlight reel plays. Offensively, Bill does whatever it takes to help his team win. He rarely gives away an at-bat and is sure to grind out ABs whether the result be a base knock, HBP, walk and at the worst case, moving runners and making the defense pick up the baseball. His simple, short swing helps Bill find tons of barrels. He is an exceptional contact hitter who can split gaps, and will continue to do so. On the base paths, Bill showcases great dirt ball reads and takes pride in stealing whenever an opposing pitcher gives a reason. Bill gives coaches options everywhere and his old-school, hard-nosed style of play will give him the opportunity to help great baseball programs at the next level.

Bill has committed to play baseball at Sewanee: The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
