Carson Taylor (Class of 2018) becomes 3rd highest drafted player in 6-4-3 history

Since its creation in 2007, 6-4-3 DP Baseball has experienced many reasons to celebrate and many “firsts” to share. In our relatively short existence as a best-in-class baseball academy, 367 student-athletes (and counting) from 6-4-3 have earned the opportunity to play collegiate baseball. In addition, 23 total players within the 6-4-3 organization have been selected in the MLB Draft from 2008-2020.

The 2020 MLB Draft held June 10-11 was another significant and historic event for the 6-4-3 organization. 2020 is the eighth consecutive year that a 6-4-3 player/alum has been drafted. To date, 23 players from within the 6-4-3 organization (including 2020 draftee) have been selected in the MLB Draft.

6-4-3 extends a hearty congratulations to Carson Taylor (6-4-3 Class of 2018 and C for Virginia Tech) for being selected in the 4th round of the 2020 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers with the 130th overall pick. As a prep athlete, Carson played for Greater Atlanta Christian School and 6-4-3 DP Baseball during several summer/fall seasons. Carson Taylor is now the third highest drafted player in 6-4-3's history having been selected with the 130th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft. Notes: Drew Waters was taken 41^st overall in the 2017 MLB Draft and remains the highest drafted 6-4-3 player in the organization's history. Kent Emanuel was taken 74^th overall in the 2013 MLB Draft and remains the 2^nd highest drafted player in 6-4-3’s history. Kevin Smith was taken 200th overall in the 2018 MLB Draft and is now the 4th highest drafted player in 6-4-3's history. Sean Guenther was selected in the 2017 MLB Draft with the 209^th overall pick and is now the 5th highest drafted player in 6-4-3’s history.

6-4-3 would also like to congratulate former player, Michael Guldberg, who was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 2020 MLB Draft as well.

Being selected in the MLB Draft is a tremendous accomplishment and honor for hardworking, talented, and dedicated young men and their supportive families. The MLB Draft also offers a tremendous source of pride for the 6-4-3 DP Baseball organization when one our own is validated with an opportunity to become a professional baseball player. 6-4-3 is incredibly proud of the young men who have had their name called in the MLB Draft.
