Kent Emanuel (6-4-3 Class of 2010) called up to Houston Astros MLB roster

Kent Emanuel (6-4-3 Class of 2010) called up to Houston Astros MLB roster

Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County)

It is with immense pride and great pleasure that 6-4-3 DP Baseball shares the news of Kent Emanuel’s call-up today by the Houston Astros.  Kent is 6-4-3’s first player to reach Major League Baseball.  Kent (Class of 2010) was one of 6-4-3’s first players and bona fide stars.  During his years playing for 6-4-3, Kent was a dominant left-handed pitcher who could also play first base and swing the bat well.  Kent was, and remains, a gifted athlete and fierce competitor.

Kent also starred in basketball and baseball at Woodstock High School in Woodstock, Georgia.  After his successful prep career ended with 6-4-3 and WHS, Kent logged a tremendous college career as an All-American student-athlete at the University of North Carolina.  In the 2013 MLB Draft, Kent was selected 74th overall by the Houston Astros and remains the 2nd highest drafted player in 6-4-3’s history (behind only Drew Waters - 6-4-3 Class of 2017).

Since forming its first travel teams in 2007, 6-4-3 DP Baseball has watched over 400 of its players earn college baseball opportunities and 23 players advance to play the game professionally.  Now, 6-4-3 can proudly say it has its first Major League ballplayer.  The entire 6-4-3 staff celebrates this tremendous achievement by Kent.  As an organization, we are immensely proud of Kent.  Our thoughts and excitement are with Kent and his family as they enjoy this monumental day in Houston, Texas.  As an entire 6-4-3 baseball community, we will be cheering loudly for Kent and the Astros from Marietta, Georgia!
