Drew Waters (6-4-3 Class of 2017) called up to Kansas City Royals MLB roster

Drew Waters (6-4-3 Class of 2017) called up to Kansas City Royals MLB roster

Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County)

It is with immense pride and great pleasure that 6-4-3 DP Baseball shares the news of Drew Waters' call-up on 8/22/22 by the Kansas City Royals.  In his Major League debut, Drew played right field and batted ninth in the lineup.  In the eighth inning against Chicago White Sox reliever Joe Kelly, Drew reached first base on a bases-loaded walk and was responsible for the go-ahead run in the Royals victory.  Drew Waters is the first position player in 6-4-3 history to reach Major League Baseball and is one of three 6-4-3 players to reach Major League Baseball to-date (note: 1. Kent Emanuel with Astros and 2. Sean Guenther with Marlins).

Drew (6-4-3 Class of 2017) was an outstanding outfielder and offensive threat for 6-4-3. During his years playing for 6-4-3, Drew was a lock down defender and a dynamic offensive player. Drew was, and remains, a gifted athlete and fierce competitor. Drew was also a standout on the baseball field for Etowah High School in Woodstock, Georgia.  After his successful prep career ended with 6-4-3 and Etowah, Drew was selected in the 2nd round (41st overall) by the Atlanta Braves in the 2017 MLB Draft.

Since forming its first travel teams in 2007, 6-4-3 DP Baseball has watched over 500 of its players earn college baseball opportunities and 30 players advance to play the game professionally.  Now, 6-4-3 can proudly say it has another Major League Baseball player.  The entire 6-4-3 staff celebrates this tremendous achievement by Drew.  As an organization, we are immensely proud of Drew.  Our thoughts and excitement are with Drew and his supportive family as they enjoy this monumental moment/week in Kansas City.

As an entire 6-4-3 baseball community, we will be cheering loudly for Drew and the Royals from Marietta, Georgia!
