Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Cougars 11U team for winning the Perfect Game 11U Georgia State Championship over the weekend. The Cougars finished with a perfect 6-0 record over the weekend. The Cougars were an offensive juggernaut over the tournament scoring 71 runs, hitting 6 home runs, and outscoring their opponents by a 29-8 margin in bracket play on Sunday. Head coach Brett Beasley commented, “the team is playing to their potential and it's fun to watch!”
Cal Pearson was named MVP for his 11 for 16 performance at the plate logging 3 doubles, a triple, 2 homeruns, 15 RBI, 8 runs scored (and also pitched the championship game). Max Bowman was named MVPitcher for his strong performance in pool game #3 - a complete game, 5 inning outing (51 pitches) where he gave up only 2 runs, walking none, and striking out 3.
