6-4-3 DP Baseball has secured a team spot in the Academy Prospect League for the 2022 spring season. The team will be an alternative high school season baseball team. The purpose of the team is to provide game reps and practice reps for all the team participants. This team will focus on developing individual and team abilities, and provide a ramping up for the eventual summer, travel ball season.
NEXT STEPS: 6-4-3 will hold its first open tryout at Aviation Sports Complex on December 11, 2021, at 12 NOON. There will also be a second open tryout in January after the conclusion of high school tryouts. DETAILS: The season will consist of approximately 30 games played at PG's East Cobb Complex from February through the end of April. Once the league schedule is released, we will have a better idea of when the 6-4-3 team will be practicing. Regardless, we are targeting roughly 20 practices over the course of the season starting in the middle of January. FYI: The total team budget share will be $1,050 per player with an initial payment of $300 to lock in your spot on the team after tryouts. For those families not currently a part of 6-4-3, there will be an additional player registration fee in the amount of $125.
RATIONALE: To be 100% transparent, 6-4-3 is a BIG fan of high school sports teams…especially baseball. For most players, being a part of the high school baseball experience is very positive and very enjoyable. 6-4-3 is not intending to compete with high school baseball programs. Instead, for those players being homeschooled, for those players that do not make their high school’s roster, and for other players with varying circumstances, 6-4-3 is hosting an alternative high school season baseball team.
