6-4-3 DP Baseball's 11U Cougars win PG SE Elite Spring Showdown

Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County)

Congratulations to 6-4-3 DP Baseball's 11U Cougars squad for winning the 11U PG Southeast Elite Spring Showdown last Sunday!  Over the weekend, the 11U Cougars earned a 5-0 record and outscored their opponents by a margin of 50-8.  The Cougars logged a hard-fought win over the 6-4-3 DP Tigers 11U team in the semifinal game and a narrow 3-2 victory in the championship game over the East Cobb Astros (Orange).  All 13 Cougars players contributed to the weekend's success in total team effort fashion!  A special congratulations goes to Drew McGee who earned MVP honors for the tournament.  Drew’s offensive line consisted of: 6 R, 8 H, 1 HR, 6 RBI, 8 SB, and 5 BB.

On the mound, the Cougars used 10 different pitchers.  Interestingly enough, Ethan Pai pitched both left-handed and right-handed in the quarterfinal game.  Aiden Moulder was responsible for the win in the semifinal game.  Miles Moore pitched five scoreless innings in the championship game with Luke Rohlfs getting the win in relief.

On the field, the Cougars played strong defense highlighted by Parker Lively (catcher) throwing out two would be base stealers in the championship game, and  Carson Florence (shortstop) taking away two base hits with great catch-and-throw range from behind the 2nd base bag.

Congratulations again to the 11U Cougars for their continued success and tournament championship over the weekend!  #643pride #643family
