Congratulations to 6-4-3 DP Baseball’s 11U Cougars for earning a perfect 5-0 record and winning the Perfect Game 11U Southeast Select Tournament last weekend. The Cougars outscored their opponents over the weekend by a margin of 49-8. The Cougars journey to the championship included a quarterfinal win over a very good Homeplate team (final score 11-1), a semifinal win over offensive powerhouse and #5 nationally ranked Turn 2 team (final score 11-3), and a championship game win over an outstanding team and #9 nationally ranked SBA Nationals squad (final score 8-3). All 13 Cougars players contributed in the team’s outstanding tournament run versus talented opponents.
Congratulations also to Miles Moore who was named tournament MVP for his outstanding weekend performance. At the plate, Miles contributed 5 H, 5 R, 3 HR, 8 RBI, 6 SB, and 4 BB. On the mound, Miles contributed 5 2/3 IP with 8 Ks in the championship game.
