Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Cougars 13U team for their runner-up finish in Perfect Game’s SE Elite Invitational last weekend. Going 3-2 overall for the weekend, the Cougars took down a very good Canes Southeast team by the score of 4-1 in their semifinal game (while giving the Canes their first loss of the season). The Cougars were led on the mound by starting pitcher Hudson Chadwick and supported by reliever Aaron Best who came in to close out a bases loaded, one out situation by striking out the two batters he faced. In the championship game, the Cougars met up again with the talented California National 13U team and took them to the limit but came up short by the score of 4-6. Congrats to the Cougars’ Hudson Chadwick for earning Pitching MVP honors in the tournament! Congrats again to all 13U Cougars players for a solid weekend of baseball and competition. #643pride
