Congratulations to 6-4-3 DP Baseball’s 13U Cougars who earned a perfect 5-0 record en route to winning the championship game in Perfect Game’s 13U Southeast Select tournament last weekend. The Cougars were led on the mound by Jack Johnson and Jon Walker Brown. Jack Johnson contributed a strong relief outing in the first bracket game to shut down a good EC Cardinals team. Jack’s line: 4 IP, 8Ks, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB which earned him top pitching performance honors for the event (Most Valuable Pitcher). In the championship game, Jon Walker Brown pitched a gem to hold off the Staff Dirtbags by the score of 4-2. In addition to stellar pitching outings by Jack and Jon Walker, the Cougars squad contributed solid all-around play to pace their weekend success.
