Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Cougars 14U team for winning Perfect Game's Backyard Brawl last weekend. The 14U Cougars earned a perfect 5-0 record en route to winning the tournament! Over their five game stretch, the Cougars outscored opponents by a 49-4 margin. On Sunday during bracket play, the Cougars defeated the Georgia Bombers, ZT Elite Midwest and Team Elite Premier. Carson Adomnik was named Most Valuable Pitcher after he threw five scoreless innings in the semifinal game while racking up eight strikeouts, throwing 70% strikes, and working ahead of 95% of the 21 hitters he faced. Isander Poventud was named MVP after hitting .462 with two singles, three doubles, and a home run over the 345 ft. sign at East Cobb Complex's Field #2. The Cougars strong showing last weekend was fueled by a total team effort (and with help from Ethan King on the 13U Jaguars squad on Friday night as some players were out of town).
