Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Cougars 14U team for winning Perfect Game's Georgia State Championships last Sunday (Mother's Day!). The Cougars earned a perfect 6-0 record over the weekend en route to winning the PG Georgia State Championship (Major / 28 team event). In bracket play, the Cougars won 10-1 against The Dream, 3-2 over Canes Southeast Scout, and 9-0 versus the Georgia Jackets American. The Cougars tallied 51 hits over 6 games and, despite a few top arms being unavailable to pitch, gave up only 8 runs over the weekend. Ryder Porter was named offensive MVP of the tournament by Perfect Game and had a big day at the plate on Sunday including two huge hits in the quarterfinal game.
