Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County)
With frigid Saturday temperatures reducing pool play to only one game, the 13U 6-4-3 DP Panthers overcame a Friday night pool loss by winning three games on Sunday to capture the PBR Shamrock Classic Silver Bracket title. The 13U Panthers showed great come-back ability after trailing 4-0 in the first game Sunday but eventually scored 12 runs in their final four at bats to win by the score of 12-5 against Service. The Panthers opened up an 8-0 lead in game #2 against Southeast Barons and held on for a 9-5 victory in the semifinal game which led to a matchup against the Blue Sox in the championship. Once again the Panthers never gave up after falling behind 6-0 through three innings. The bats finally came alive and the Panthers scored the final 10 runs to win by the score of 10-6. Congratulations to the 13U Panthers for their weekend of great pitching and timely hitting by all…with a never give up attitude on hand as well! #643pride
