Congratulations to the 6-4-3 DP Tigers 11U team for their championship finish in last weekend’s Southern Sports Mountain World Series in Dahlonega! The 11U Tigers went 3-0 in pool play and took the #2 seed into bracket play on Sunday. After two wins in bracket play, the 11U Tigers battled the #1 seed and the weather to prevail 11-8 in the Championship game. The team had standout performances on the mound from Diego Banda, Preston Lagason, Andrew Mullins, and James Sibley, and coming up big at the plate were Timothy Alexander Jr., Vincent Liang, Michael O’Brien, and Kade Tutherow. Key defensive stars included Everett Holliman, Aiden McCray, and Liam Patel. Special shoutout to Slade Hughes who, after an hour rain delay in the finals, hit two homeruns and pitched 4 and 2/3 innings, on his birthday!
