In the opening weekend of the fall season, 6-4-3 DP Baseball's 13U Cougars won the 13U 54/80 PG Sunday Series #1 (MAJOR) in dominant fashion.
The Cougars went 3-0 in the event without allowing a single run on the day. In three games, the Cougars outscored their opponents by a combined score of 42-0, capped by an 18-0 win in the championship game. The impressive offensive performance throughout the day included 5 home runs by 5 different players and 15 stolen bases by the team in whole.
Wyatt Newsome (pictured below) took home the MVP honors for the Cougars. Wyatt batted .800 on the day with an .857 OBP and 1.400 SLG %. He hit 1 HR and had 6 RBIs. He also pitched 2 innings for the Cougars while giving up only one hit, zero runs, and striking out 3 batters.
