6-4-3's 14U Cougars and Jaguars finish as Co-Champs in PG Fall Peach State tourney

Marietta, Georgia (Cobb County)

6-4-3 DP Baseball's 14U age group had a strong showing in the 14U Perfect Game Fall Peach State Invitational as our Cougars & Jaguars were crowned co-champions.

Due to weather and field availability, the tournament’s bracket play was brought to an end after the semifinal matchups were completed.

Rain early in the weekend forced the Cougars to play four games in one day on their journey to a tournament victory. After losing their first pool play game, the Cougars won their next three games by a combined total of 32-8.

Cal Pearson and Grant Dorrell led the way for the Cougars offensively. Both players batted .500 in the tourney and they combined for 9 stolen bases on the day. The rest of the team followed close behind them with 5 other players batting .375 or over on the weekend and a team total of 9 doubles and 34 stolen bases.

The Jaguars followed a similar path to their tournament victory.

After losing their first pool play game, the Jaguars went on a three-game win streak with a combined score total of 30-11.

Judson Pankow, Aldon Sanders, and Jack McQuilken were the offensive engine for the Jaguars all weekend long. They combined as a group for a .556 batting average, 13 RBIs, 14 hits and only three strikeouts in 4 games.

In their semifinal victory, the Jags were led by a dominant pitching performance from Bryce Floyd. Bryce started on the mound and went 4.0 innings giving up no runs and only one hit. He also had 6 strikeouts.

Congratulations to the Cougars and Jaguars on a great start to their fall seasons!
